While a Jacuzzi is a type of Hot Tub, the name jacuzzi (notice the lower case) has become so well known that often people refer to hot tubs or spas as jacuzzis.
So, a hot tub or a spa can be a Jacuzzi, but a Jacuzzi is a specific brand of hot tub or spa.
If you want to get technical, using the word jacuzzi to refer to a hot tub or spa is called a “proprietary eponym.” And over time, it has happened with many other famous brand names. Other actively trademarked proprietary eponyms that may come to mind are Kleenex being used to refer to any Facial Tissue, or Band-Aid to refer to any Adhesive Bandage, or Tylenol being used to refer to any Pain Reliever.
